Pearl Lemon assisted UX 4Sight, a Chicago-based UX agency, with a local SEO project and website optimization. The collaboration stemmed from an Upwork pitch submission and involved enhancing their online presence and technical performance.

UX 4Sight case study

The challenge

The client sought to optimize for local SEO, specifically for their base in Chicago Jackson Boulevard. Although they initially appeared relatively well locally, they wanted to further push their visibility and ensure their business appeared prominently in Google Maps for location-based searches.

What we did

Pearl Lemon conducted an initial audit, checking reviews and local listings for optimization insights. They provided UX and UI recommendations, including page speed improvements and technical SEO. For a second website, over 23 documented recommendations were sent, focusing on areas like below the fold, above the fold, and menu headers.

The results

The overall campaign has been positive, leading to improved local footprint and technical performance for the client's sites. Pearl Lemon made many technical recommendations and fixed issues within their control, with the client's team addressing the rest. The collaboration continues, signifying a successful and fun campaign.

The full story

UX Agency SEO Case Study Our client, UX 4Sight, brought us on board for a UX design website and a local SEO project. They’re based in Chicago, and we originally got in touch via a pitch submission on Upwork.

Initially, they appeared relatively well from a local perspective. But of course, successful business owners always want to push the needle, if you will. And that was where our journey from a local business perspective began. If you Google your own business, or any other business, it should come up in the Google map section as a location-based search. For our client, this brought up an area of Chicago, and this is one of the things that we worked upon about optimising this via the photos via the actual listings.

As Featured In: Action points and things checked during an initial audit included ensuring the reviews were in place and looking at their local listings across the board to see where and when we could offer specific insights into optimization. Some of the UX and UI recommendations that we sent over to their team included some page speed insights, technical SEO recommendations and more. Overall it was just a quite intense and detailed amount of work.

This project covered the scope of multiple websites. After we addressed the website as mentioned earlier, we began to tackle another website owned by our client. For the second website, we sent over more than 23 different documented recommendations. Again these included page speed insights gathered from Google Page Console with the matching metrics.

This overall has been a positive campaign. If we switch over now to the other email account, you’ll see that United Realty Partners is the other side we’re working on from a technical recommendation level. The main goal for this was to improve their local footprint from a local SEO level and to identify any technical changes that were open and present on their sites. We were able to make many recommendations from a technical standpoint and fix everything within our sphere of control. Anything that we could not change and address, their team took the changes and were able to fix and address those internally.

Some Of Our Clients Our Approach to SEO Our team doesn’t take a ‘one solution fits all approach – our SEO team designs and implements bespoke campaigns for our SEO clients. Many SEO service companies focus on optimising solely for Google, and we go above and beyond this.

However, we recognise the need to get the perfect balance between essentially ‘optimising for your customers – to ensure that they get the best experience when they visit your site and increase your visibility on the search engine results pages.
