Pearl Kasirye - PR Director

PEARL KASIRYE

Pearl has lived on three different continents, including Europe, North America, and Africa. She’s originally from Uganda, but she was living in Switzerland when she first started working at Pearl Lemon. She loves to travel and experience the world in different ways, which is one of the reasons why she has lived in so many places before the age of 25. She’s introverted and very introspective, so she doesn’t talk much, but she observes a lot. It’s one of the reasons why she loves working in Public Relations, because she get to be the “man behind the scenes.”

What do you do at the Pearl Lemon Group?

I’m the PR Director at Pearl Lemon PR and I manage all the Pearl Lemon brands as well as client PR campaigns. I also train and recruit new PR Specialists to our team, which is a very fulfilling part of my job.

What do you enjoy most about the Pearl Lemon Group?

I love the flexibility! I can work from anywhere in the world and in any time zone. Those factors don’t affect my work. The company culture is very fast-paced and always takes me out of my comfort zone to encourage me to be better both personally and professionally. Also, working with an international team of talented people has been very rewarding. I love working with them in growing Pearl Lemon Group 🙂

Tell us something you were doing in your 'last life'?

Probably sleeping…

In my last life, I was definitely not the over-achieving, perfectionist that I am today. I was probably lazy, cynical, and relaxed about life in general.

What is one of the things you could tell us about you that would surprise most people?

I started my first business when I was 13 years old, and I did it because I wanted to make extra money but also help children in my community develop a love for reading and improve their writing skills. After that, I also worked as a freelance salesperson who sold reusable, washable sanitary pads to people. I was so good at it, that I even sold these reusable sanitary pads to men, haha!

How would your closest friend describe you?

One of my closest friends described me this way, “On the outside, Pearl has the hardest shell, but on the inside, she has the softest and biggest heart that most people don’t get to experience.”
